Play Lab

Unique play based, art, music, and nature filled Play space

Play Lab is a joyful, play-based program designed especially for curious toddlers and preschoolers. Through open-ended art, sensory exploration, loose parts play, and both indoor and outdoor activities, children are encouraged to explore, create, and connect in a rich, hands-on environment.

Each one-hour session is full of messy fun and meaningful play that nurtures creativity, independence, and early social skills. Whether they’re painting, pouring, stacking, or splashing, children are free to follow their interests and learn through discovery.

Perfect for little ones who love to move, make, and play!

Unurried. Playful. Creative.

“Our son has been attending this preschool program for close to a year now and I can tell from his big smile and the excitement that he shows each and every day that he truly loves The Gathering Wild and his teachers Kylie and Tennyson.

When he first began he had a bit of a hard time adjusting to sharing and interacting with other children. Kylie and Tennyson have worked with him patiently and I have seen such a positive change in how he interacts with other children. He has become more patient, co operative, confident and emphatic.

Kylie and Tennyson share pictures and videos of the daily happenings and keep you informed of your child's progress and development. Throughout Covid they have been transparent and diligent in their screening process and have worked to keep the catchment small to reduce risk.

Kylie and Tennyson have thought hard about each item and its placement within their school. They focus on the use of raw materials to stimulate imagination and critical thinking.

Gathering Wild is what I would imagine to be on the other side of that log Fred Penner was always climbing through; a magical place that makes kids feel comfortable learning new skills and above all having fun.”
