Play-Based School

We’re playful.

We explore.

We take risks.

We get messy.

We’re curious.

We meet each child where they are.

Our Program
Unhurried. Playful. Creative.

We offer high-quality, emergent programming that promotes independence and curiosity. Our program runs Monday-Friday from 12:30-4:30. Our small class size of 5 ensures a calm and nurturing environment for all children. We recognize that art, music, nature and play are essential to early childhood development. Our team consists of one Early Childhood Educator and one ECE Student. Both educators have ten years of experience providing care for children. Our staff ratio to child ratio is 1:5. We offer one plant-based and nut-free snack that follows Canada’s Food Guide recommendations.

Our View of the Child
Capable. Competent. Unique.

At Gathering Wild, we strive to support your child’s individuality. We see the development of a positive self-image as the foundation for learning.
By trusting children to make their own choices and take risks, we are allowing them to trust themselves and further their sense of wonder.

Our Environment
Nurturing. Challenging. Inclusive.

In a trusting and supportive environment children gain the confidence to take risks, follow their interests, and problem solve. Our small class size of 10, means a slower pace and a relaxed atmosphere. Our play-based school setting recognizes that learning happens when children are challenged and engaged. As children’s interests and abilities shift, the environment adapts to meet their needs which encourages further exploration.

Our Educators
Relationship Focused. Supportive. Experienced.
